  • Avoid direct flash: it creates glare and hides micro-scratches.
  • Card flat and camera perpendicular for reliable centering.
  • Keep the camera stable (stand, tripod, or elbows on the table).
  • Matte neutral background to see edges clearly.
  • Show the full card without cropping the borders.
